Several deputies form the Dodge County Sheriff’s office arrested a Lomira man following his refusal to be taken into custody on a warrant.  The incident occurred on South Avenue in the village of Lomira.

Shortly after 2 p.m., deputies investigated a minor disturbance which took place at the residence in Lomira.  The man was on probation, and an arrest warrant had been issued by probation and parole.  Deputies attempted to arrest him at the house, but he refused to exit, locked the doors, and retreated inside.  Attempts to convince him to exit the home to be taken into custody on the warrant were refused by the man.  Shortly before 6 p.m., deputies entered the home along with a patrol K9 and arrested him without incident.  No force was used and the man complied once deputies located him.  He was evaluated by medical personnel and transported to jail for the warrant.

An additional charge for resisting or obstructing an officer against Austin Luebke, 29, Lomira, will be requested to the Dodge County District Attorney’s Office.

Assisting at the scene were the Lomira First Responders and Mayville EMS.
