Effective 04/13/2026 inmate postal mail must be addressed in the following manner:

A return name and address must also be placed on the envelope, failure to properly address the envelope will result in the mail being returned to sender.

All regular inmate postal mail (postcards, letters, greeting cards, etc.) will be scanned into the system and available to the inmates to view via Smart devices.

Friends and family members are encouraged to subscribe to MailGuard Tracker - sign up for a free account (www.mailguardtracker.com) and view delivery status, receive notifications if your mail is rejected, and download copies of mail that has been received and processed.

The facility will continue to accept legal mail and money orders sent to Dodge County Jail, 216 West Center St., Juneau, WI 53039.

A. Legal Mail 
     a. Must be labeled Legal and addressed to the inmate.
     b. No personal letters will be permitted within the envelope.

B. Money Orders 
     a. Must be labeled on the envelope. 
     b. No personal letter will be permitted within the envelope with the money order or the entirety of the envelope will be returned to sender.

The Dodge County Jail has an intergovernmental agreement with the U.S. Marshalls Service, Federal Bureau of Prisons and Immigrations & Customs Enforcement. If the inmate you wish to contact/visit is in the Dodge County Jail under one of these agreements, different rules may apply.

Anyone wishing to transfer from Dodge County to another agency should come to the facility and complete a transfer request form.  Once the form is completed an officer will forward the form to the other agency one week prior to the start date.  An officer will contact the applicant to indicate if he/she has been accepted or denied.

Inmates that want to transfer to Dodge County from another agency shall request the transfer through the county they were sentenced in.  Once the transfer form has been completed, he/she should not contact DCDF.  An officer will contact the sentencing county and the sentencing county will contact the applicant.  The requirements for insurance, etc. are the same as Huber Work Release.
