Citizen Academy
Purpose of the Sheriff’s Citizen Academy (SCA) is to provide the citizens of Dodge County with a hands-on experience into the daily operations of the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office. This experience is a cornerstone of community-centered public safety, fostering transparency, trust, and collaboration between law enforcement agencies and our community. By offering a first-hand experience into daily responsibilities, challenges, and decision-making processes faced by law enforcement officers, this academy provides clarity to the process of public safety and humanizes those behind the badge.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of public safety operations, while law enforcement benefits from constructive dialogue and strengthened community relationships. This shared knowledge and mutual respect lay the foundation for a safer, more united community.
