History

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office is older than the State of Wisconsin itself, a clear demonstration of the county's commitment to public safety. Throughout the years, law enforcement and public safety has evolved in Dodge County, growing from a patrol force of two to a current staff size of approximately 170 which includes dozens of support staff that help make our Office operate more efficiently and provide even more comprehensive services to our county including comprehensive security in our Courts system, a well-staffed Jail, and administrative support to manage files, evidence and reporting.
