As Deputy Secretary assigned to training, my duties include registering department members for training events, making lodging arrangements when needed and most importantly, keeping record of all training in the computer system.  An annual verification of training for each certified member of our department in required by the DOJ Training and Standards Bureau.

 As Evidence Clerk I am responsible for all pieces of evidence that are brought into the evidence room.  Each item is entered into our computerized evidence program, with detailed information, by the deputy.  I then make sure the packaging meets the requirements of the State Crime Lab and place it into storage, recording the exact location in the system.  Proper records of the chain of custody on each item of evidence is vital.
